My in-laws bought the mg in 1954. They drove it from cleveland to lawrence, ks with child in the boot in the early 60's. Al (dad) commuted to work at ku for over 40 years. Then he drove it occasionally. He sold it to a brit car restorer in 2010. Al passed away almost three years ago and never got to see what the car wound up looking like after the restoration. He moved on to other toys and it went up for sale at kc classic auto. A friend spotted it, called us and said he thought it looked like al's mg. We went to investigate. While were looking through the restoration albums we spotted al in a photo when they picked up the mg. Needless to say we bought the car. The car is a complete frame off rebuild and runs like a top. Original owners manual and shop manual are included as well as most of the kit. There are two rebuild albums with a lot of photos, unfortunately many are not great quality, probably taken with a cell phone. I will scan some of the better ones and post them. I'm also going to get some good quality photos to post. We don't drive the mg like we thought we would. They are built for a somewhat smaller frame than i have.
